The Initial Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a one and a half day course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.

The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

This 8th edition TNCC provider course has been approved for 18.3 contact hours for RNs.

Pre-requisites

Participants must be an RN and possess a current unrestricted nursing license to receive cerification. 

**Pre-registration is required - Participant seats are limited based on instructor-to-student ratios. Seats will be assigned to paid registrants in the order registration fees and materials are received.

ENA TNCC Pre-course modules MUST be completed prior to your course date; failure to complete these in advance will forfeit your seat in the class and you will need to reschedule. The link to these precourse modules will be sent via email after registration is completed.

 

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

We understand that situations beyond your control may arise, requiring you to cancel or reschedule your class.

Please provide written notice at least five (5) business days prior to your class to allow us to fill your spot. If you are unable to provide at least five (5) business days written notice to cancel or change your course date, a charge of 50% of the course fee will be assessed at the time of reschedule or cancellation.

**TNCC-8th Edition Provider Manual purchases are non-refundable. 

Your new course date must be rescheduled within 60 days of the original class date. Cancellations or rescheduling on the day of class will result in forfeiture of the entire course fee. No refund will be given for cancellations on or after the day of the class.

The Virtual Fast Track Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) is a 5.5 hour renewal course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient.

The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

  • Click YES during registration to renew your BLS with your ACLS course - Complete both courses in ONE day!  

 

 All students are required to complete the online pretest self-assesment.  The link and course code are provided in your Registration confirmation email.

 This is a renewal course; if you have never received a CPR certification card please CLICK HERE to register for a BLS Provider Initial course. Hands on skills test session with an AHA BLS instructor. A certificate of completion for HeartCode BLS PART 1 must be presented at the time of your skill session to receive your completion card. Course fee includes the skill session only, the online course is sold separately by AHA.

After you have completed the American Heart Association Heartcode BLS 2015 Course, register to complete the skills session. Your official American Heart Association online completion certificate  is required to attend the skills session.
